One of Beyoglu's oldest wine taverns, Pano is especially lively on a Friday night. The wooden tables and heaps of wine bottles arranged side-by-side in a cellar-like setting gives the place an intimate feel. They make their own wine, and sell a wide selection of others, including warm wine for the winter. Their menu is just as expansive, with pizza, stews, meat, meze, pasta, salad, and whatever else you might be looking for. Perhaps a cheese plate, made up of local and foreign cheese, best complements the wine. There's plenty of standing and sitting space, but if you don't want to end up on your feet, then book ahead. A glass of warm wine is 6.50 YTL.
