In 2005, Anjelique was chosen as the number 1 bar by Time Out Miller Food& Drink Awards and this bar/restaurant hasn't let up since. In the summer, Thursday-Saturday, the middle floor is packed with young partiers. During the winter, Anjelique closes for partying and fans head to its winter location, Wanna. Nevertheless, Anjelique is also known for its gorgeous view of the Bosphorus and yummy menu. You can choose from 60 differnet kinds of sushi if youre in the mood, thin-crust pizza, meats and many other options. With its white and navy décor and view of both the Ortakoy mosque and Bosphorus bridge, Anjelique attracts both tourists and locals for cocktails starting at 19.00.

The music is intense at nights- DJ Dogus Cihan has become a big deal in Istanbul due to his Anjelique compliation CDs in the last couple of years. Dress up, as a strict dress code is enforced at the door. And guys, don't even try getting in unless you've got some ladies with you! Drinks are expensive, but you'll be mingling with the upper crust of Istanbul society, and you might even see a star or two (that is, if you knew who they were!)
