For those who are bored of always going to the same venues on Nispetiye Caddesi, there is now a brand new alternative. Located on a street parallel to the main road, Eating Box is satisfying in both the areas of comfort and food. Named ‘Box’ for its small size, the space is utilised not only for eating but also for watching the plasma TV and listening to music. Without any input from an architect, everything, right down to the smallest detail, was thought out by the manager, Kubilay. The venue is decorated with orange and red seats, a narrow separator behind which resides a plasma TV and a long bar-table and its chairs. Music plays continuously at a loud volume. The menu is comprised of dishes from world cuisine, the majority of which are selections of meat, salads, hamburgers and wraps. Despite offering varieties of wine, beer, vodka and whisky, they primarily value wines. During the afternoon hours, Eating Box hosts more reserved patrons as high level business administrators prefer to dine there. You can also add Eating Box to your list of birthday or party venues. For these types of functions it is possible to select a fixed menu or choose from the menu. Dining behind wall to wall windows overlooking the street is immensely enjoyable. A special breakfast is also available on Sundays. Should you be unable to go, the take-away services come into effect. Despite all of this, the venue’s real jewel is hidden on the upper floor. The terrace, with its abundant greenery, overlooks Nispetiye Caddesi. Sitting there, you experience the peace of the prevailing silence as well as the ease of the close proximity with the main road. The terrace, which is accessed via a staircase decorated with giant candles, is adorned with white tables and small yet comfortable leather seats. Giant heaters are in operation to preserve the last opportunities to enjoy the terrace before the arrival of winter.
