Kremola is a small and charming pastry shop and the brainchild of three women, each of whom comes from different industries. With its pink and white decor, Kremola resembles Barbie’s playhouse. Don’t let the 3 slim owners fool you, the delicious creations are full of calorie-laden goodness- and totally worth it! Their main item is the cream filled creampuff ball. Both the cream and the creampuff itself are surprisingly light (they are cooked in the oven, rather than fried), making it possible to easily eat more than one. As of now, the flavours are vanilla and chocolate; however, sakız (mastic), lemon and raspberry are on the way. What sets these mini delights apart is the fact that they are made with completely natural ingredients (ie: real vanilla is used rather than vanilla extract). It’s almost impossible to eat the creampuff without getting the chocolate or cream filling all over your face- at least on the first try! Thus, we recommend going at it with a fork and knife. The kids who frequent this shop are the heirs to the throne- watching them devour their creampuffs is a true delight, so parents will definitely have to stop by. They also have a brownie-based ‘stick cheesecake’, an eclair-shaped cheesecake that is easy to eat by hand. The creative owners are also thinking of adding a few salty options to the menu. Kremola has already become a mini-break location for ladies shopping on Bagdat Caddesi; we think another branch would fit quite well in Nisantasi! They also provide delivery service (for homes within the area). Finally, there is a small Kremola stand inside AFM at Istinye Park.
